About Robert
Meet Robert
I am Robert Denney, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with over 25 years of experience in the Massachusetts Behavioral Health system. I earned my degree from Boston University’s School of Social Work, where I developed a strong clinical foundation in evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
Throughout my career, I have cultivated a deep understanding of the complexities of mental health care and remain committed to providing high-quality, solution-focused therapy. I specialize in treating a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, substance use, trauma, stress management, and life transitions. My goal is to serve as a trusted resource, offering compassionate and effective support to help clients navigate challenges and achieve lasting well-being.
My Approach
In my practice, I provide therapeutic support to individuals navigating the psychological and emotional challenges that arise throughout the various stages of adulthood. Life transitions, shifts in roles and responsibilities, and evolving relationships can contribute to periods of heightened stress, uncertainty, and distress.
I work collaboratively with clients to enhance their self-awareness, develop adaptive coping strategies, and build the skills necessary to effectively manage life’s challenges. Through a structured and goal-oriented approach, I assist clients in fostering clarity, resilience, and direction, enabling them to navigate both current concerns and future obstacles with greater confidence and stability.
